William E. Eick

Partner

 

Bill has practiced law for over 40 years. He was raised in North Hollywood, lives in Shadow Hills and has practiced law in La Crescenta for over 25 years where he has emphasized probate, estate planning, trust administration and probate/trust litigation. Bill also has a substantial background in real estate and oil and gas law.

 

Bill graduated from USC law school. He is on the Board of Directors of the Fond Land Preservation Foundation which purchases and preserves privately owned but publically accessible open space in Los Angeles County. To date, the Foundation has acquired in excess of 550 acres, mostly in the Verdugo Mountains.

Los Angeles City Proposition K-Valley Volunteer Neighborhood Council Oversight Committee for over 8 years (made recommendations for allocation of park bond money)

Tori J. Freeborn

Partner

 

Tori worked in the legal field for four years before attending law school and learned the practical side of probate and estate planning from William E. Eick. During law school, Tori clerked for a litigation firm where she obtained valuable experience in complex multi-party litigation. 

 

Tori graduated cum laude from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon where she served as Articles Editor for Lewis & Clark Law Review. She received Honors in Legal Writing and Analysis and was the recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship and the Minta Hicks Newell Scholarship.

 

When she’s not working, Tori enjoys spending time with her husband and fellow law partner, Josh, their two daughters, and dog. She loves exploring new local restaurants, watching basketball, and spending time with her family.

Joshua C. Freeborn

Partner

 

Josh began his career in science. He obtained a BS in Cell and Molecular Biology and worked as a research assistant at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and as a senior research associate at the University of California Los Angeles. While in law school, Josh clerked at an elder law firm which focused on Medicaid qualification, probate, guardianships and estate planning. 

 

Josh graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon where he received Honors in Legal Writing and Analysis and was the recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship.  Josh was a regional alternate for the ABA Negotiation Competition Moot Court team and proudly was a member of the Lewis & Clark Intramural Basketball Champions.

 

When Josh is not working, he enjoys basketball, hiking with his dog and spending time with his wife and fellow law partner, Tori, and their two daughters. Josh hopes to one day add cooking to his list of hobbies.
